Aldea Parent Group

Parents are essential partners with Aldea Montessori in the education of the children.  Our parent organization,  Aldea Parent Group (APG) , mobilizes and coordinates volunteers for many events throughout the year.

APG was started in 2004 by a group of parents as a support system to the staff, teachers and students of Aldea.  APG is a vehicle through which parents have the opportunity to become an active part of the school community.  Our children benefit through seeing their parents “caring through action” about the total school environment.  The staff benefits from the extra support, both concrete and in spirit, given by parents.  Parents have the opportunity to become involved and make a difference in their child’s educational experience at Aldea.

Many avenues are available through which parents can become actively involved in either short-term or long-term roles.

Mission

The mission of the   Aldea Parent Group  is to serve the students, teachers and parents of the school by developing and implementing activities that build community and enrich the learning environment.

To be a force that continuously promotes and supports the values of the Aldea Montessori community.

The 2021-22 APG Officers are:  Aura Posner (President), Andrea Lucarelli (Vice President), Nicholas Hanson (Treasurer), Rebeca Goc (Secretary), Adrianne Clifford (Member-at-Large)

2023-24 Events   Monthly Board meetings, Twice a year general meetings, Monthly dining for dollars and play dates, Beginning of year picnic and end of year party, Silent auction, Collecting toys for homeless, Supporting St. Mary's Food Bank. Aldea’s Spring Silent Auction

When :  May 18, 2024 

Where :   At the school, 15639 N 40th street Phoenix

Time :    5:30-8:30

Please mark your calendars for this fun community event; It is one of our favorites! We are always amazed at how much these events thrive with an active community. Everyone comes together to help in different ways and it is much appreciated.

We are trying to encourage all parents to attend. Come and support our school while having fun! 

Goal: 100% parent attendance PLUS all friends and families.

(Aldea provides childcare for a very reasonable price).
